About the Maldives

The Maldives, an archipelago of 26 atolls, is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and abundant marine life.

It's a diver's paradise offering encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, and diverse underwater ecosystems.

The beautiful Maldives Aggressor II offers three itineraries. All trips embark and disembark at Malé Airport.

  • Offering a 7 night itinerary and two separate 10-night trips.
  • Average of up to 18 dives on 7 night trips, 27 on 10 nights (multiple day dives and a night dive each evening).
  • Depth Range: 12 m – 30 m (40 ft – 100 ft)
  • Water temperature varies from 27C, 80F, in the wet season to 30C, 86F in dry season.
  • A 3mm wetsuit recommended

All dives are from the dive Dhoni.

The comfort of the guests is the yachts priority; all dives are from the large spacious 18 metre Dhoni (tender) which is full equipped for 28 passengers.

Note: In January and February, the currents can be very strong, but the big animal activity can be fantastic. Divers should prepare themselves for the more challenging environment and be prepared for the rewards which that effort brings.

Dive Itineraries

7-night Best of Maldives

  • Up to 5 dives daily, including night dives
  • Visits to North Male and South Male Atolls, Vaavu Atoll, Meemu Atoll, South Ari Atoll, North Ari Atoll and Rasdhoo Atoll
  • Opportunities to see manta rays and whale sharks

The itinerary heads to the Southern part of the Maldives and is for shark lovers. There are significantly more channel dives offered during the trip, which offers the chance to see lots of grey reef sharks, silver tip sharks, eagle rays, and a possibility to see hammerheads. Channel dives are also quite deep - around the 30 m, and typically have stronger currents. Reef hooks are used often during this trip. There is also a mix of easy going dives offered thoughout the trip to help balance it out. You will visit a manta cleaning station and includes a manta night dive in Fesdhoo if the mantas are present. There is also a chance to dive and snorkel with whale sharks on this trip.

10-night Best of Maldives - Meemu (Southern Route)

  • Up to 5 dives daily, including night dives
  • Visits to North Male and South Male Atolls, Vaavu Atoll, Meemu Atoll, South Ari Atoll, North Ari Atoll and Rasdhoo Atoll
  • Opportunities to see manta rays and whale sharks

10-Night Best of Northen Maldives - Lhaviyani

  • Exploration of the remote Northern atolls
  • Visits to North Male, Lhaviyani Atoll, Noonu Atoll, Raa and Baa Atolls
  • Encounters with manta rays and whale sharks

This amazing itinerary is all about manta ray sightings, and also includes a visit Hanifaru Bay on Baa Atoll during the trip. Hanifaru Bay is a UNESCO biosphere reserve which only permits snorkelling, but there are often around 50-70 manta rays inside the lagoon. This is a highlight that is only offered on this route. It doesn’t replace any diving activity, it's a bonus add on excursion. The dives typically are easier going and have less current compared to the Southern (Meemu) route and also offers a higher chance of seeing whale sharks as well.
